which essence families are most relevant for today's world?

If you have looked at the sections Essences of the Four Seasons and Our Different Essence Families, you will understand the range of Essence Families available. The Primary Needs Chart will give you a sense of the strengths and weaknesses of each "Essence Family". The question then naturally arises: which are the most relevant "families" of essences for the times in which we live?

We have sought to answer this question not only based on our own experience as practitioners, but have sought feedback from other therapists and essence workers globally over the past five years.

We also recognize that the "families of essences" which are most relevant almost certainly change over time. The relevance of "essence families" may also vary between countries and different ethnic groups. We have no doubt that throughout much of the Twentieth Century, flower essences and homoeopathy were the most relevant "Essence Families" to the needs of millions of people globally.

Our considered opinion based on feedback over the last five years the table on the right ranks the following Essence Families as most highly relevant to personal growth and transformation in todays world.

In our ongoing journey with essences, we have not discarded the older "essence families" such as flower essences and homoeopathy. Indeed, we employ them not infrequently and continue to find them useful, when appropriate.

Our search is simply for the best "Essence Family" for the problem at hand. Using the newer and the older alongside each other on an ongoing basis gives us a dynamic picture of the relevant strengths and weaknesses of each "Essence Family". Only in that way can we truly make progress with a balanced understanding.

We suggest that you never forget the Golden Rule in Essence Therapy. That is, before we look at specific essences within any "essence family", we first of all ensure that we have the appropriate "essence family" for the task at hand. The Primary Needs Chart assists us in achieving that goal.

We see a clear trend over time for "Essence Families" with relatively superficial actions to move down the list and those with somewhat deeper, more penetrating actions to move up the list - such as Tree Bark and shell (see
Levels of Essence Action for explanation of this concept). The Essence Families with a yet deeper action again, such as OriginalAA Root and Flower-Agate Essences may move up the list as the years go by - it will be interesting to see!

OriginalAA Tree Bark Essences are similar to shell essences in the sense that bark is the outer layer or skin of the tree, while the shell is the exoskeleton or outer layer of a marine invertebrate. Both essence families are good for strengthening the aura or human bioenergetic field and have a strong protective effect against external influences. We have pioneered and developed OriginalAA Tree Bark Essences, while shell essences are available from www.shellessences.com.au. We consider this to be one of the better essences sites on the web.
