Sometimes we are seeking to expand ourselves in a new way. Perhaps we’ve taken up a new course or a new job, or perhaps a new and interesting hobby. Initially, our confidence is a little fragile in the new area we are venturing in to. Without realizing it, family and friends around us may have a vested interest in us remaining as we were rather than changing in a new way.
