Sometimes in the course of inner growth, there are openings of perception to more subtle levels of reality which normally lie beyond the reach of the senses. There can be an awakening of metaphysical or extrasensory perception via the senses of sight and hearing. We can hear voices although no physical being has spoken, or we see visions or beings of other dimensions. At other times, we may hear the quiet voice of our own inner being or spirit speak to our mind.
